Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio National Park is the jewel of the Costa Rica large number of national parks-683 hectares of tropical rainforest and over a thousand different species of flora. We followed our guide on a walking tour through the spectacular natural beauty of the park that is home to numerous species of butterflies, monkeys, snakes (from afar I hope!) and orchids.  In the afternoon 17 of our most adventuresome travelers experienced a canopy tour of 16 platforms, 12 of which hung 90 feet above the treetops in the primary forest.  Our group dined in the evening at several of the local restaurants in Quepos.
